RoamRight received the claim on 3-16-2015. I did not receive a check until 5-2-2015. Other than the long delay in receiving my check I am happy with RoamRight.
My wife and I bought RoamRight travel policies via Squaremouth in anticipation of a prepaid Safari. Approximately 2 weeks before our scheduled departure, I wound up in the emergency room and was subsequently advised not to make the trip. We cancelled those reservations that we could but the fee for the Safari was not refundable and we incurred expenses in canceling flights. As a result, we were out a substantial amount.
I submitted my claim, provided the backup RoamRight requested, and was paid in full in accordance with the policy. In my view, the test of insurance is how the company responds to claims and I am pleased to report that RoamRight responded exactly as it promised.
I hope RoamRight will insure my next trip.
Policy seemed to cover everything important. Thankfully we did not have to file a claim.
The policy was fine. Reasonably priced, minimal coverage. My only issue is that it was not clear on the web site what was and was not covered and I needed to contact a representative who was very helpful and lovely.
Had to cancel trip due to medical problem. Just sent in claim for small amount to cover airline penalties rescheduled trip for 9/15
Will purchase insurance again in few days

I have not heard a word about my claim - not a yes, no or I need more information. It would be nice if there would be some form of communication - it was received, it is process, it was denied. Am I asking to much?
I chose RoamRight as one of the few providers with an option to cover a guided backcountry ski tour. Customer service was responsive on my trip when I had a potentially problematic baggage delay (solved by renting some equipment for a day) and needed information about making a claim. I'm just back from the trip and haven't had a chance to file the claim yet so I will review that process once complete.
