Didn't need to file claim. My husband saw a doctor and hospitalization wasn't necessary, thank God!

Hurricane hit towards end of trip. we would not have been covered as carrier needs to be out for 48 hours before coverage begins. Not suitable for purpose and will seek alternative coverage and carrier next time

Fortunately, I didn't have to find out how good the insurance really was. It was a comfort knowing it was there, but I didn't need it. We did have one person on the trip forced to drop on day three because of an injury. He had no travel insurance and had to swallow the entire trip cost.

It was easy to compare insurance policies online, and the purchase and confirmation of my policy was non-eventful.

I did not need to use this service during my trip, but the information was easily available on my global phone and in the paper copy if I had needed it.
