I have an upcoming trip to Israel, can I cancel?

Last Updated:

Many Trip Cancellation policies can cover cancellations due if a terrorist attack occurs at a traveler’s destination prior to their arrival. Trip Cancellation may cover up to 100% of a traveler’s prepaid, nonrefundable expenses if they choose to cancel for a covered reason, like terrorism.

To be eligible for coverage relating to the recent events in Israel, the policy must have been purchased prior to the attacks that took place on October 7th. If a provider considers the events an Act of War, coverage may not apply regardless of when the policy was purchased.

Travelers that want more cancellation flexibility should purchase the Cancel for Any Reason benefit upgrade. This benefit provides partial reimbursement for trips canceled for a reason not covered by Trip Cancellation.
