The first call I made was to inquire about specific coverage on the policy. I didn't have my policy in front of me, but wanted assistance. I was told that her computer was slow and waited for it to come up. Then I was told that she would check the coverage for me and send me an email with the coverage details. I never received an email. I called a second time and talked with an agent who was very helpful and answered all of my questions.

My claim was denied for "Trip Interruption" . I would never use this insurance again and I am skeptical about using your company as well.

Obtaining the travel insurance I needed was a very easy process. I had to adjust my coverage when some of my travel plans changed and all the representatives I dealt with were very helpful. Will definitely use AXA Assistance USA when I travel again.

Good experience! We got an inexpensive policy for a two month trip to Canada. My husband ended up having to visit a private clinic and go for a few follow ups. We sent in our claim with all receipts via email and got an approval less than 2 weeks later. The only hiccup was that our policy was advertised as primary insurance and when I went to file the claim, I was told I needed to file with our insurance company first. Squaremouth was ready to help when I contacted them, and it turned out our AXA policy was primary because we live in NY. Make sure you know your policy! Aside from that, the process was surprisingly hassle free.

It was not at all clear that the silver policy was secondary to Medicare or my medigap coverage. Had I known that I would have opted for the gold. I have a cap on my medigap expenses and the medical emergency I had in Calgary will add up to 5% of my coverage that has to last the rest of my life.
