IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Terrible customer experience prior to trip. Needed to change date the policy started. I was told no one was available to do that and I could only do it through email but the email address I was given did not work. Called squaremouth and they gave me a phone number to call where someone was available to change it over the phone. Ultimately it was resolved but should not have taken three phone calls.
I am not impressed with the IMG rep. She is not very nice. I bought cancel for any reason insurance from them for more than 10% the cost of the trip. The trip cancelled because of Snow storm Fern. I was supposed to fly the morning after the biggest part of storm 1/26. Two state of emergencies were issued in my state. I notified IMG immediately to let them know I'd be putting in a claim for partial coverage of trip cost as soon as I knew the amount the tour company was going to issue back. The amount I am asking from IMG is less than a 1/5 of the trip cost of Tour company was kind enough to consider the circumstances. No one can predict the weather in these cases- sometimes its worse than anticipated & sometimes we are lucky that it turns out better. I can only hope that IMG does the right thing. It remains to be seen.
So far, the claim filing experience has been smooth. Two in our party could not travel because of last-minute medical issues which we have since documented for IMG. We are currently waiting for word on the claim.

I am a Missionary/Pastor and I lost my partial denture in the West Bank Israel/Palastine on the Palestine side (Dangerous area).
I explained to customer service that I am a senior citizen 75 years old and did the best I could filling out the forms and sent them an email to no avail. And no response!!

Easy to use website with various options available. Contacted customer support to change effective date which was done quickly and without additional cost.
I tried to file a claim, but couldn't get anyone to assist with a few questions. Disconnected several times and just no help. Recovered funds thru the airline. I'll be using my credit card travel insurance from now on.
I need to provide more information and receipts, otherwise it has been an easy process
