Tin Leg customers praise the provider’s customer service, especially when making changes to their coverage or trip details. However, some have expressed frustration with the claims process, particularly regarding the amount of documentation required.
Chose policy because it provided the features and coverage I needed and no a lot of extras.Good policy summary provided reassurance and easy access during trip.
Currently in process of filin claim for delayed luggage.

I needed to change the dates of our trip twice, and that was facilitated easily and quickly.
We loved the Squaremouth web page where it is so easy to compare products. We also found the customer support staff to be very helpful in defining certain terms we didn't fully comprehend. Thankfully, our trip went without a hitch and we did not have to file a claim on our policy, so we have no experience to share there. Again, we greatly appreciated using a simple web page for a complex topic, and we traveled with confidence knowing we were fully protected should we need anything.
Squaremouth is very helpful in describing some of the differences between t he various policies offered. I use Squaremouth because of this service, and because they say they will help in the event there is a problem when one is trying to get a claim processed.
Sadly, since I was suddenly unable to take my trip, I had to file a claim. So far, there has been no problem with Tin Leg. I am waiting to receive reimbursement for unreturned expenses.
I filed a claim on Feb. 4 (today is March 4) and I have not gotten any correspondence from the claims dept. I have contacted my assistance coordinator twice and he told me the claim was moving through the process, but it would have been nice to receive some unsolicited statuses from the claims department.
I can comment more once I receive my reimbursement.
I rated them high because I got the insurance I wanted with ease. Yes, I would recommend them. I will purchase their insurance in the future.
I was very happy with the process of purchasing the policy. I didn't expect to have to cancel the trip and file a claim, however, the filing process went well. My only comments is that it took about 5 weeks from the time I filed it for the claim to be paid, which seemed to be a long time, even though I provided complete documentation when I initially filed. Also, I was instructed to mail my documentation to an office.
I intend to purchase the same policy when I rebook my trip and recommend it to others.
My claim is handled by 7 corners and 2 months afterclaim docs were sentt they still have not paid me for trip interruption due to surgery abroad
Because Tin Leg was so helpful and patient when I had to get receipts from the Panamanian sources of service I received. The "ambulance" company took forever to get a receipt for me, and it even had errors in it, but with my explanation to TLL they accepted the receipt. The policy was very inclusive and gave me a feeling of security. Yes, I would certainly recommend TLL to anyone, especially for use in a foreign country, as the TLL people told me they have no trouble with receipts in Spanish, etc. Even before you asked my comments, I have sent a note of gratitude to TLL after the receipt of the check they sent to me.
