I got mugged in Montevideo and, of course, I didn't know if my health insurance or Square Mouth would cove a visit to the emergency room. My fault so I did without any medical assistance (I'm fine).

I had to cancel our trip because of an emergency illness. The processing of our claim was a little slow, but I was very satisfied with the results.. We received checks for 100% of our trip cost. I would use this company again and recommend to other travelers.

Tried contacting Tin Leg numerous times with the number they provided on our policy. Each time we got a voicemail. Always called during normal business hours as listed on policy, but they were never available. Even tried calling the 24 hour emergency response line and got nothing. Left a voicemail regarding a lost wedding ring and whether or not the policy would cover it, and we never got a response. Even if it's not covered, we warranted a response to our voicemail.

I would not recommend this insurance company based on the fact that their business hours listed are wrong, and/or the number they provided me was false. I intend to follow up with someone about this, but unfortunately have no way of doing so.

I purchased cancel for any reason option trip insurance and was not able to travel. My claim was received at Square Mouth on 23 January. I inquired about status on Saturday,31 January, and left my name and phone #. I have not received a call back and intend to call again today.

Purchasing the policy was clear cut and efficient. I spoke to customer service about a couple of questions before purchasing and found that person to be helpful and knowledgeable.

I got under 50% of my medical bills reimbursed (210 out of 500+).
I got rejected the first time, for a reason which wasn't true, re-submitted my claim and got it accepted.
Never got notified of the rejection, so I had to call to get the case re-opened.
The second case got stalled at a step, so I had to call to follow up again.

And I'm still waiting to get my claim cheque. So really it's still unfulfilled.

Whole process felt like, and still feels like you're trying to **** over the customer.

We were given several non-working phone numbers, and it took a long time to get assistance when we needed it. Once we managed to supply the required documentation (not so easy when you're in a foreign hospital) our return air trip was arranged quickly. We were given flight times via phone but we weren't provided the ticket number, which almost caused us to be denied boarding.

Then back home, I filled out the medical payment forms (based on customer service discussion and instructions.) It showed that a check (in euros) should be sent to the foreign hospital, but instead of what was promised, the check was sent to me in US$ instead.

The service representative said a status letter was sent 1/5/15 which I did not receive.
