IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
I had a very positive experience working with ITravelInsured prior to purchasing the policy. The agent was informative and responsive, answering questions fully and spending as much time with me as I needed. I decided to purchase the Travel SE plan. My trip was interrupted after one day because of travel advisory to return home and other factors. After returning home, I contacted ITravelInsured to inquire about the claim process. I talked with an agent, Todd, who was pleasant, informative, and answered my questions. He even called back after hours. At this point, I am highly satisfied with the experience. At this point I am waiting to hear about the claim determination.
When I contacted them pre trip departure to increase the amount to be insured, I was told that I had to put in the request via email I have never had to do so with other travel insurance companies before. Since I was leaving within the week for our trip, I was concerned that the request would not be honored before our departure. After another phone call it was expedited,, still by email. I find this approach less efficient that making changes over the phone.
I will be filing a claim and have notified them by email and I will be submitting the claim by mail with supporting documents. I hope that it all goes smoothly.

My first contact was when my port of departure was changed and needed to find out what was covered only to have their computers were down. My second contact was when I was stuck in Singapore and was unable to find out what itravelinsured needed due to their computers still down.
Have filed a claim and I'll see what they say they will cover.
Squaremouth is the only website I use to purchase travel insurance. In this case; due to the CoronaVirus - the trip never happened. Since there wasn't a loss there was not a need to make a claim. I contacted iTravelInsured and they refunded the entire cost of the policy since the trip didn't happen.
Our trip had to be cancelled do to military orders for our son. I filed a claim on 3/19. As of now I have not received even an acknowledgement that the claim was received.
THEY REFUSED TO PAY. Upon federal government travel restrictions, we did not travel. USELESS INSURANCE, NEVER AGAIN. Since I did not travel the insurance premium paid should at least be returned.
Claim received by ITravelInsured by certified mail 0n 3/16/2020. I have called them and emailled them but have not received any response. I'd like to know if my claim is being handled.
My complaint with iTravelInsured is the difficulty in connecting with them on the phone. They must be significantly understaffed because the "hold time" when calling their customer service department is unacceptably long.
I attempted to add some hotel and other expenses to my contract. Apparently you had some kind of significant computer system failure. I literally was not able to speak to anyone about my issue for over two weeks. I tried every day and when I did speak to someone, all they told me was your systems were down, try again tomorrow. I suspect all this harmed your revenue significantly.
My service experience during that time was terrible.

It's impossible to add coverage or a traveller, and meet the 24 hour requirement that you have to maintain for some coverage. So I see it as a scam, and after about $10K of purchases over the last few years, for over $100K of trips, I believe that we are through. Adios.
