IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
When I called them from Mexico, they were polite and sent me the claim form almost immediately. I was on hold for a bit, though, but not too bad.
I am waiting for review of my claim. They responded quickly to my claim to say they are reviewing it.
The claim process went smoothly. Some required items seemed unnecessary or redundant. Took a great deal of time on my part but I am a very detailed person and didn't want to be incomplete and then play claims ping pong match. Once I sent in paperwork, my claim was settled within 60 days or so. They had everything they needed and gave me what I asked for. I will use them again for sure.
So far, it has been fine.
Claim was approved 15 days after submission, as initially stated. Payment was one week later. Amount of time seems reasonable.
No interaction before the trip....called with the question after we arrived...the answer was satisfactory. No other experience so far.
I filed a claim on 4 Sept. And will never purchase insurance from this company. They have not completed fulfilling my claim. I faxed info they requested six times, they stated they never received it. Finally sent the info by mail requesting a signature upon its receipt.
My friend also had problems with them and will never purchase from them again.
