IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Thankfully did not have to make a claim, but having the insurance gave me peace of mind.
Provider list included doctors who had been dead for a few years.
Easy process to submit my claim and receive payment.
The IMG representatives I communicated with were very considerate and helpful when I asked for a credit for my deceased husbands portion of the travel insurance. I did successfully complete the trip. We have used IMG in the past and have always been very happy with their customer service. I will continue to use them in the future.
Overall excellent; no claim filed. My only interaction with IMG was to update the travel dates and trip cost coverage. This was done easily online, so no interaction needed with IMG personnel.

I made a claim for expensive sunglasses which were stolen from my checked bag. The claim was denied because the fine print in the policy excludes eyeglasses from coverage.
My complaint is not that the policy excludes this coverage, but rather that the policy was not provided to me until after the purchase.
In retrospect, I should have carefully read the fine print after I received the policy, and cancelled it at that point. That said, however, exclusions should have been communicated in the information provided online prior to the purchase.
Concerned that I got this now. Trip and insurance changed to June
I’ve provided multiple documents (about 10) of credit card statements and other travel documents and still do not have a resolution. The flight was cancelled by the airline and we had to book again for 2 days later at an increased price and missed 2 days of our trip.
Purchasing the policy was easy and simple. I have no response yet as to how filing the claim or the procedure to finalize that claim.
