IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Had to cancel my trip due to surgery. The insurance I purchased was useless and a waste of money. The claim assistance from Squaremouth was just as terrible. Their so-called Zero Complaint department was completely useless. They supported the insurance company not me, their customer. I had purchased all of my travel insurance from them before but after this horrible experience, I will never buy anything from either company again.
Minor ER claim at local hospital- claim to be filed ASAP. Was told by 24 hour line to ensure to get proper documentation and file after return

So far, service has been great. We just arrived home this past week and dealing with health care issues. We will be filing a claim for disruption of our trip that occurred the last days of our trip.

I filed a claim on Feb 20 and it's now May 23rd. They've requested different documents in 3 subsequent emails. I have complied every time (though they should have asked for all documents up front or in first email reply). They say I'll hear from them in 2-5 business days. It's always more than that. I've filed a complaint with our state Attorney General. Hopefully I'll see some progress soon and Squaremouth will give me an opportunity to provide that update here.

IMG kept finding more and more docs to request, instead of just requesting them all up front, and some took a lot of work to get. (e.g. They wanted a specific email from the airline that the airline doesn't send by default so I had to go through 3 levels of customer service at Delta to get it ) ,It felt shady like they were just stalling and hoping I'd give up. They'd say I'd hear from them in 3-5 business days after each submission of more docs, but it only was that short the first time. Every other time (at least 3 other times) it was up to me to contact them a week or more later to ask what was going on. Eventually I notified our state's Attorney General office who wrote them a letter. Can't say for sure that's what did it, but just a few days after that I finally got confirmation my claim was approved, and just a few days later the funds were in my account. I filed my claim on Feb 20th and finally got funds on June 4th.
No problems. It's just very expensive insurance.
There was a computer glitch during the online payment process. I called customer service and spoke with a very professional advisor who solved the problem for me.
