We had to cancel our trip due to health issues. We filed the claim. Though we had to submit several documents atleast 3 times to prove our claim, our claim was approved and we received our refund we claimed.Reducing claim documents and processing time would help. We would recommend this insurance company for your travel insurance.
Making a contract was easy and fast.
I had a slip and fall one day prior to departure that resulted in a visit to the ER and had to cancel my trip. I have so far provided all kinds of documents to IMG, but my claim is still pending. Among other things they want is a detail of the cancellation penalties from my travel agent. I sent that to them and waiting to hear from them.
Would prefer to be able to speak with a live person as most interactions are managed via the IMG website. Hoping the claim will go smoothly; no word yet.
We cancelled our trip just a couple of days before departure because of present and impending sickness. Since then the sickness has developed to the point of hospitalization on Feb.26 through Feb 29. I am gathering the paperwork to support the claim, but my first priority was to obtain medical treatment. I hope the delay does not void my claim.
My cruise was scheduled for February 17, 2024. My husband passed away unexpectedly in mid January. I received an email yesterday. They are paying for the cruise and the parking -- everything that I submitted. The payment is being processed.

They asked for a lot of information. I had all the necessary paperwork. I was able to email instead of us mail. That saved a lot of time. They paid the claim in full. I called a couple of times when I started the claim and everyone was very helpful and considerate.
The claim was initially denied based on an incompetent error on IMGs part. They said that the policy wasn’t in effect, apparently thinking that the policy began in December 2024 when in fact it was purchased in December 2023. This required a phone call to IMF. They admitted their obvious error. We have yet to receive any reimbursement. This will probably require another phone call. Needless to say, we won’t be using IMG again.
Very slow to respond. Website and claim process not very clear.
Just poor and impatient service. Also, the urgent care clinic had a lot of difficulties validating my policy so I ended up having to pay over the counter even though I had confirmed they were in network.
