However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
It was an easy great experience!!! I will use them again. Thanks!!!
i purchased the plan to protect cruise. everything went as planned
Unfortunately I didn’t make the trip. My cost were returned to me. Although I didn’t need your assistance, I will use you again. I’m confident that if I had needed recompense you would have helped me out.
I got sick 2 days prior to my departure for the trip.
I submitted a claim with IMG on 12/26/23.
As of today, 01/17/2024 my claim is still not assigned to any real person. I could not find a record of my claim on IMG website.
Customer service yesterday found my claim and explained, that it will take longer due to holidays.
Insufficient notice-this should be ALL CAPS in your "welcome letter": must file claim within 20 days!!!
Ridiculous requirement-90 days to complete-OK.
I was on a six week European trip, 3 weeks of which I was sick; returned home just before New Year's and had family visit for a week while I'm recovering from the trip and jet lag. By the time I pull docs together and figure out how to file claim; too late! I spent $514 for a policy that paid me nothing because I didn't notify them within 20 days.
Sounds just like that weasel of a CEO in the first "Incredibles" movie- let's figure out how to make it impossible to claim. Then, when I completed the online form, it wouldn't get accepted. Told I should file an email claim. No I can't print out the online form I completed and saved. I must a) find the correct claim form among literally dozens of forms on their website, fill it out again, scan it and send it in. I gave up. My claim was only for 133 Euros- I guess I'll chalk that up to experience.
I will take my foreign travel insurance needs elsewhere going forward. (I take a minimum of two international and one domestic trips each year.)
BTW, I called Squaremouth when I was sick to see if they could help locate a doctor, and your customer service was useless.
I had to interact with IMG Customer Service because the reason for my trip was unfortunately cancelled. However, I wasn't sure if the reason for cancellation would be a coverable event that would allow me to make a claim. I called customer service and the first person I spoke to told me that it would definitely be covered and to go ahead and cancel all my trip plans and submit a claim. When I mildly challenged her answer she became short with me and just reiterated what she had said. It was a very frustrating call to say the least. However I was still doubtful and so I called again and the second person I talked to told me that she was sure that my claim would have been denied. If I had believed the first person and gone ahead and cancelled my trip I would have been out the full cost of my trip.
Super helpful to have your live person help as I sorted through insurance options. We needed only trip cancellation/interruption, but not health insurance coverage. Super helpful and guided me to just what we needed. It was a very expensive trip for us, so great to have the insurance we wanted. And we will be filing one smaller claim (cost for a new shorter flight ticket we had to pay for on the fly due to flight delays). Overall, a great experience, and we had confidence in the policy and provider we got to through your service. Thank you.
The process of modifying the policy when airfare was added to the trip cost was fairly easy.
All good. I discussed the possibility of having to cancel due to COVID but it worked out, thankfully.
