I filed a claim but it was denied because I didn't explain it correctly or they didn't understand. I filed an appeal on April 27, almost a month ago, and I still don't have an answer. At this point I'd say that travel insurance is worthless. I'm very disappointed.
Difficult to deal with filing a claim for a timeshare rental from a private party. Never satisfied with documentation I have uploaded. Doctors notes emails exchanged between parties for rental trying their best to not refund me the $1600.00 for the room.
No more insurance for me going forward. To many headaches besides my wife’s illness I’ve been dealing with.

Terrible! I would give it a zero if I could. I went on IMG’s site to file the claim. Uploaded numerous documents, cancelled check for room, receipts, emails from time share owner, flight cancelation info, credit card receipts. The site that I used was never updated with the data I uploaded.The system is setup to deny you the claim from the beginning, Doctors note , plus the document they have for advanced medical questions, for cancelation. Still probed me for additional documentation, on top of what was sent. All I needed was $1600.00 for the room to be reimbursed. Only email communications, Wife has cancer, too much additional stress. There is no common sense from the customer service, just following scripts and checking off boxes. I can only imagine if we were both sick or on vacation and had to put in a claim. I am also amazed at how many reviews are good especially from people have not submitted a claim. I also was asked to sign a fraud claim form. Great like my doctor would lie on my behalf. Stay away from IMG. Terrible Company. Also Squaremouth keep an eye on this company, they are bad news.
I am in the process of filing a claim and am finding it very laborious. I will see how it goes.
Service agent was helpful and very knowledgeable. He was able to review our trip and recommend a few different options, winnowing down the large number of policies available to, one’s best suiting our needs. He was able to assist us without hold times and pauses. He knew the information. He was confident , which made us feel confident with our choice
Have purchased insurance with Squaremouth in the past. The experience has always been positive.
I bought the policy specifically for the pre-existing condition benefit since I have terminal cancer. At one point I thought I might need to cancel so I contacted IMG to confirm that if I had to cancel my trip I would receive reimbursement for my non-refundable airline tickets and they said Yes. Then shortly before the departure date, I contacted them again and they said No, I would only receive an airline credit (good for only six more months) and also I would only receive a maximum of 70% of the total trip cost. I guess it is my fault for not reading the fine print but this policy ended up being useless, especially the airline credit since if I had to cancel, it would be very unlikely that I would ever take another trip like this again, since I am dying. Fortunately I was able to go on the trip but I regret buying the policy.
I recently filed a claim with IMG on their web site using the online portal once I returned from my vacation - IMG has been slow to respond (3 business days) with assigning me a claim number - the IMG website does not indicate that my account has an active or existing claim - although I did receive an email from IMG indicating that they have received the information / documentation that I submitted online. I have sent IMG a secure message requesting an update on the status of my claim. At this time I have not received a status update on the submitted claim from IMG.

The IMG web site did not at any time accurately reflect that I filed a claim or that I had an active claim being processed - the web site only listed my current and previous policies - correspondence with IMG worked well using the “secure messaging” function that is available on their web site - updates were made to me periodically via email - but at no time during the process could I check on the current status of my claim when logged into my account via the IMG web site.
In the end - my claim was reviewed and settled by IMG to my satisfaction in both a professional and timely manner.
IMG processed my claim and awarded a fair settlement.
