I can only speak for my experience of purchasing the Travel Protection, as, luckily, we had a flawless travel experience, and there was no need to utilize the plan. The process of selecting the appropriate plan was easy and straightforward by using the online tools. When I had additional questions - our group of three had people traveling from different states - those questions were answered promptly and thoroughly by a very courteous agent.
Super happy I got travel insurance! I had a big unexpected turn of events when I was supposed to go home and ran out of money. Luckily I had the insurance set and was able to get support from family and friends while navigating how to get back home from across the world. Hope to hear back from my claim soon.
Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection customer service agents are First Class. I called when we changed our Destination last minute from Greece to Spain and I fully expected a hassle......Nope ! They were courteous, friendly and quickly effected the changes I needed. Finally a company who listens and puts the customer first.
I had to interact with Customer Service before my trip was taken. The agent was able to resolve my issue and was and saved me a little money. Thank you very much. If I ever take an extended trip, or for a weekend. I will be using Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, for peace of mind. Very grateful 🥰

Overall experience outstanding! Unfortunately we had a medical situation develop that required attention while in Jamaica. Fortunately, the situation was handled and we were able to complete our trip. Upon return to the US, we filed a claim through the BH online process. Within hours a response was received from BH identifying support documentation required, and identified a 15 day window that the claim would be paid. Various means of submitting the documentation were identified (including a direct customer service number if we preferred). We submitted documents via the online process and our full claim was paid within 13 days. Highly recommend BH Travel Protection.
I filed a claim on March 1 - Berkshire Hathaway had 15 days to review. I heard nothing after 17 days and contacted their customer service only to find out that we were missing a document. The documents requested included "Cancellation Penalties - Carriers cancellation policy (CruiseLine/Tour Operator/Airline) to support on-refundable portion being claimed". We did not use a CruiseLine, Tour, or Airline so I didn't include that document. The instructions could have been clearer, and it would have been helpful to get the information that something was missing when the original documents were submitted
I created and sent in my claim a couple weeks ago but have yet to hear back!
