    Unsatisfactory overall. Incorrect information provided by customer service on 1st call. Difficult to file claim on-line despite clear statement that on-line claims could be filed. Nonsensical answers from customer service again on 2nd and 3rd calls.

    Berkshire Hathaway required me to submit my claim twice, telling me I hadn't submitted submitted supporting documentation initially -- even though I had. This delayed the processing of my claim by two weeks. My interactions with claim personnel was frustrating and unhelpful, and I had about 4-5 separate interactions. One specific example is Berkshire's website indicates claims can be submitted on-line but that process did not work (repeated attempts). I called to report this problem and no one would acknowledge on-line submission was an option, or help resolve the problem. I screenshot the web page showing the link for on-line submissions. Really shoddy service.

    After I sent claim via email with ALL supporting documentation attached, I got an email two weeks later saying I hadn't submitted supporting documentation with claim form. I called their customer service number and eventually the representative pulled up my email and read the supporting documentation I had attached. He said I needed to submit it again. I submitted the same claim form again with same supporting documentation a second time. Ridiculous but I did it.

    My claim was paid only after I had scheduled a complaint interview with Squaremouth.

    The claim website is not user friendly. I had to register for an account to file the claim. After completing the registration it would not let me file the claim. No policy was listed and there was no option to enter the policy number. I called the claims phone number and I was assisted with filing my claim. I submitted my documentation and claim form by email. I did not receive a confirmation of receipt, however when I called to confirm the agent was helpful and did confirm my documents were received. The claim was processed within the 15 business days they advised it would take. I was unable to check the status online due to the issues with the website.

    I flew to Santiago, Chile to go on a ski trip. But extreme weather prevented me (and others) from getting to the mountain resort. The storm was forecasted to last for several days, which it did. I was forced to stay in Santiago for one night, before returning home. The resort refunded my money. Berkshire Hathaway covered the cost of the unexpected night in Santiago. But not the airfare, as I did actually take the flights.

    I've never had to file a claim before with travel insurance, so I am not sure how long it takes. I hope to hear from them shortly.

    During my recent trip to Europe, my luggage did not make it to my intended destination. In this stressful situation, I reached out to Berkshire Hathaway for assistance, and I must say, their responsiveness and support were commendable. They guided me through the entire process with great professionalism.

    I was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward the online claim submission was and to my delight, my claim was swiftly approved. Even more impressively, within a mere week, the funds were deposited directly into my bank account.

    am more than satisfied with the outcome and their outstanding customer service.

    Initial policy setup was straightforward, fees were reasonable, and early communication was thorough. Claims for unexpected delays in travel are still pending, so am still evualating the overall value of the insurance itself but am hopeful that it will prove handy to have because I travel a fair bit and the peace of mind would be well worth it.

    My initial flight was cancelled while I was on my way to the airport and I was rebooked on a flight the following day; it was fairly easy and quick to file a claim for my extra trip to the airport, and the claim was handled and granted within a week or so. This is my first time buying travel insurance and I'll definitely be doing it again!

    Initial trip was delayed due to covid, needed to ask for change of dates with proof of change. It was done which I was pleased with, however, the process was not smooth and initially got different answers from different people.
