Excellent and prompt pre-departure communication from Berkshire Hathaway. Very good choices and clear terms. Reasonably priced.
Getting the claim on this policy was a lot more work than the claim I filed for myself.

With the amount of information it took I won't be buying another travel protection plan for m y Grandson thru you. I have to use for myself as I got a credit. Can not figure out why mine was credited and his wasn't
After a previous attempt with another company Berkshire Hathaway was quick and easy to use.
Will use again in the future
I needed to change our travel dates and doing so was easy and faster than I imagined it could be. This gave me a great deal of peace of mind on my trip! Squaremouth was recommended to me and I have already referred others.
I thought I would be covered if the trip cancelled.
But no, there are levels of what causes a trip to be cancelled.
I thought I was protected.
I will think twice before buying insurance again and wasting my money.
The interaction with the medical department was excellent. But once they sent the paperwork to the claims department it's a disaster. They can't understand I went to see a friend and stayed in this house all the time. I don't need payment for hotels, airfare, excursions or anything like that. Only medical expenses. But they are taking forever to get back to me. They have also asked me for some of the same documents I already sent to the medical department. If they get back to me soon (it's been already a month), I will recommend this policy. Otherwise I won't.
My claim was denied. The trip was canceled due to the civil unrest that was happening in SA along with the fact that Emirates had suspended travel to SA; this was the airline we were using.
Filed claim 14 days ago. Still waiting to hear anything.
When i asked my question to the agent they had very little knowledge
Filed claim via email, so far email response has been prompt. Waiting to hear response for approval.
