Initially we had communication problems with the required documents for the claim. I had to send it 2 times as the agent said they did not receive documents. I was thinking that it was a runaround to give up the claim. But finally on the third attempt documents were received by Generali agent. The whole process took about 2 weeks, a check was finally issued for the reimbursement for my travel claim.

Had a suitcase left at security. We were required to inperson pick it up. But we chose to met our very tight connection instead of chasing it down to security in another terminal.
Called insurance they were worth less just read a statement and kept repeating statement.
The cost to have done so would have been about $2000.00 dollars instead left it behind and by trip end security changed to mailing from Ireland to home. It is expected on 5/28/25 it cost us to send $260 and not sure if all items are still inside. So waiting to file.

The many many sign up for every little yhis is very cumbersome and extremely time consuming and frustrating. Only a person very familiar with computer operations and willing to work through the frustrations is able to file a claim. That I had to submit my home owners policy policy deductible page amount was over the top for a $238.89 claim for loss suitcase mailing to states was CRACY. I will never use this Generali insurance company again.!!!

I purchase insurance with my trip dates. Later I realized my trip was one day longer than I had thought. It was easy to reach a "real person"and change the policy to cover the extra date. I immediately received the revised policy.

After a little communication misunderstanding, the process went quickly and I received a check with in a few days. Very satisfied with the service. I would recommend using them for your travel insurance.
I sought some guidance before submitting a claim and was provided with "copy/paste" boilerplate. When I was finally able to dig through the fine print to conclude that my claim wouldn't be accepted, I was encouraged to submit one anyway. I spent a fair amount of time doing so, only to have it immediately rejected for the very reasons I postulated initially. What a waste of my time.
And it's ridiculous that a doctor's visit is required. All the advice on some common illnesses is that you shouldn't travel but that a doctor won't be able to do much for you. So that would be another waste of time and money. Never again.

I have booked a trip that was cancelled. A new less expensive trip was scheduled and the insurance was transfered to cover the new trip with a refund for the difference was issued.
