Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
I could never get through to a person. I have filed a claim, but had to do it by mail, as no other method worked. I am waiting for the signature card to be returned, to confirm receipt. There is a disconnect somewhere. Generali sent me an email saying they hope I enjoyed my trip, after I thought I had notified them I had to cancel. Now they are asking to contact me in 4 weeks about my claim, when they should contact me now.
In spite of the above issues, if they refund the money I lost as I had no choice but to cancel the trip, I will definitely up the number of stars to 5. Would I recommend this policy? At this point no. I also have no intention of using Generali Global again for any policy. I thought I purchased cancel for any reason for every trip. This is the first time I actually had to cancel a trip. It may be Generali does not consider the need for surgery right now for my sweet sheltie followed by 24-7 care and multiple frightening symptoms with multiple vet visits and multiple medications and... a "good enough" reason to cancel. In which case, shame on them
