I have been diagnosed with cancer and had to have surgery that turned out to be the same day as the date of departure. I had to cancel our trip. The biggest issue I had was acquiring the required documents from the cruise line. It was a little difficult submitting a claim to Generali as the website would freeze at times when trying to upload the required documents. The claims was approved and I am overall satisfied with the service provided.

I needed to correct the start date on the policy relatively late and close to departure. They accommodated by request promptly. This gave us peace of mind prior to the trip
Generali was not responsive after I submitted my claim with all the necessary papers. I left messages with my claim agent, Catherine, and never received a return call. She just kept sending emails, stating that I did not submit what was needed, but would not explain. I also did not get a return call from her supervisor, Luis, when I asked for help.
I decided to call Squaremouth and scheduled a call with zero complaint agent, Mari McIver. She quickly contacted Generali and was able to resubmit my information, so it was acceptable to them. She is competent, knowledge, and most responsive to my situation and needs.
Because of Mari and her abilities, I will continue to use the Squaremouth Insurance exchange. She even helped me navigate the poorly designed initiation form, so I will now be receiving my reimbursement. She is an exceptional agent!

We are having an absolute terrible, TERRIBLE time dealing with GGA ! We have bought travel insurance from GGA many times. Never had a claim. Now, the first time we have ever needed their help, they are screwing us ! The worst customer service we have ever experienced in our lives !! We were evacuated from Little Cayman Island because of Hurricane Beryl. Pretty simple, straightforward case. Nope.
We will never buy ANYTHING from GGA again and will scream about their crappy service on TA and other social media.......
We are soon to file a complaint with you guys about GGA.

The ONLY reason I gave them 1 star is that I couldn't give them zero, or negative stars. They were terrible. We were mandatorily evacuated from Little Cayman Island due to Hurricane Beryl last year. We were claiming two things, both from airlines. We had to buy emergency evacuation flights from Cayman Airways and we had to move our American Airlines return date up because our trip was cut short, which incurred a "change fee". We supplied the insurance company with EVERYTHING, all the documents we could get from both airlines. This was such a simple, cut and dry case, it was unbelievable.
They heartlessly denied our claim. They never showed any caring or empathy for our case. It was totally obvious from the very beginning that they totally didn't give a s**t about us or our predicament.
They could not, I repeat NOT, have done a worse job !

Fast and straightforward claim handling. Yes there were lots of docs that needed to be uploaded, but once you jump through the hoops the claim processing and payment was very fast.
You wrote the insurance for the wrong dates. I have tried numerous times to correct the dates, but was ignored. My travel dates are Feb 10–Feb 18. Please correct.
