Prompt payment.
Princess cancelled our cruise 4 days before we were supposed to depart. I went to Generali site to ask for my money back. They have a list of 5 or six requirements to fill out so they will refund your money. They are obviously designed so you won't have to refund any money. The fact is Princess cancelled the cruise. This is very easy for Generali to confirm. They don't need half a dozen things from me to refund my money. I have used Generali half a dozen times. Will never use them again. I called Generali. Got a woman on the phone, all she could say was you need to go to the site and send in the requirements. She was no help at all. I still say these requirements are designed to keep you from refunding anything to anybody. Very disappointed with Generali. We have several friends who cruise frequently. I will be spreading the word to buy your travel insurance from anybody but Generali.

Cruise was cancelled by cruise line. Guardio could easily confirm the cancellation. Instead asked me to send 6 things, 3 of which were nearly impossible for me to send. I have since booked two cruises. Will never use Guardio again. Pretty stupid decision to lose my business forever for $200.

The online claims application is straightforward but I had repeated problems successfully submitting my mandatory documents. After a session with the online chat and then finally calling Generali customer service, I was able to submit my claim with uploaded documents via their email. The representative was completely helpful once I got a live person on the phone.

We tried to make the trip to Xiamen, China on XMN airlines; on 10/31/2024.
Due to an unforeseeable complication, we were not able to board the plane at midnight on 10/31.
So we immediately reported the instance to Generali on 11/1, and asked them to adjust the travel dates now between 11/5 and 11/29/2024.
One agent from Generali turned us down. The other agreed to do it by increasing the premium to $405.30 in order to cover the travel between 11/5 to 11/29.
Little did we know, on 11/5 again at 10pm, we were notified by long distance from Xiamen, 'the visa was not ready'. So we had to drive from LAX airport all the way back to San Diego home.
On 11/6, I called Generali reporting the instance. We did not ask for any compensation but request to put the policy on hold when we do make the trip within a year. Both XMN and UA Airlines granted us the airfare credits to be used within a year.
What would you advise us to do with Generali? We purchased the policy for protecting us from many types of accidents. We are not asking them for any compensation but extending the policy when we will travel within a year!

Generali processed my claim promptly but denied payment.
I needed to file a claim due to flight delay. The claim procss is web based and it did take a couple of hours to create accounts and locate the requested documentation. Once completed I was keep abreast of the claim and it was approved within 24 hours.
Waiting to hear back from insurer. Filed a claim for trip interruption.
I had to cancel due to my father’s passing. 🥀
While it took several additional emails & documentation, the claim was eventually approved.
Their contact number did not work. It was impossible to speak with anyone.
