My trip was uneventful except for a trip and fall the last night in the hotel. I did receive a skin tear. I was administered to buy hotel staff when I came back to the states. I went to urgent care and also to my doctor to follow up and I am fine, nothing to File a claim for.

Claim process is efficient and user friendly. Once the documentation was submitted, decision and payment were processed within a few business days.
We are in a FEMA disaster zone thanks to back-to-back storms. Apparently, the "fine print" about a storm being "named" created a reason for Generali to deny paying for the hotel stay --that we could not make because our flights were canceled. The airline gave us flight credit, but would Generali reimburse us even a fraction of what we paid for the hotel? No. Truly insult to injury.

Very good after difficult initial conversation.
The claim was approved very quickly. The money covered by your cancellation (25%) was received quickly. Selecting how we received the balance, the insurance payment was tediois. We needed to talk with a customer service representative, but we could never get by the virtual assistant. We sent six emails and the only two responses referred us back to the virtual assistant. A brief call with a human would have left us with a much better feeling.
