It would have been nice to have an update report occasionally as they worked on the claim.
I called Square Mouth and discussed our planned trip with the representative. After explaining what type of coverage we wanted, she recommended two possible options. Both were excellent and the pricing was very reasonable. The whole process was fast, easy and very simple.

Had to change the policy and it took one quick phone call
I was injured after the trip began, and a week after my injury the ship's doctor ordered us ashore for exams and treatment. The support from the Generali Global Assistance team was spotty. They said they would give us a choice of dates and flights to come home; they only presented one. When we tried to modify it, the rep I was speaking with said she entered the change, but got it wrong three times in a row. I had to look up flight schedules and suggest the combination that worked best, and finally they got it right. We are very happy with the final outcome, and the ground transportation was excellent, but many details were left hanging that we had to work out with whoever was on duty. Some of those reps need better training.

Your policy provisions were of the strongest of all the policies we reviewed with plenty of options. Pricing was also very favorable. I had questions about the option to cover car rental insurance and called the service rep. They were very informative and helpful in explaining the options. I would certainly use Generali for future trips and have recommended them to others. Great product coupled with great service and ability to get a quick connection to a live person is worth the 5 star rating
The Customer Service Rep I spoke to today was helpful in answering my questions and I will be filing a claim soon. I hope I have a better outcome for my claim with Generali than I had with IMG on my last trip as my claim was denied and it was the first travel insurance claim I've had to make.
I was easily able to add additional coverage as my plans changed. Thankfully no issues arose that would require a claim.
