I have contacted Generali multiple times, each time with conflicting info. Contacting them is impossible - you have to say you are travelling and have an emergency to reach them. I had to call Squaremouth (answered on the very first try) to connect me with a live body. The website is faulty - when I called the first time (thru your folks) they directed me to a forms portal to download a form. Subsequently I received multiple and continued errors trying to upload supporting documents. I called again - needing to say I was travelling abroad to find a human. Oh, just make the upload smaller - which I did in multiple formats (hand-written, text doc) always received 'ERROR' message with no explanation. Called AGAIN (selecting the emergency # and directed to Customer Service) - Oh, yes - so sorry - the website is 'sensitive'. You cannot return to it (even though there is an option to Save for Later). Now, they say, I should go to the forms portal (again) and start all over AGAIN! And then email! Either they have an online claims portal or they don't! Well, they don't and they cannot or will not offer me assistance with my claim. I'm very dissatisfied.

I filed a claim online yesterday because my first flight was delayed and I missed all my connecting flights. I arrived at the hotel one day after my reservation and the hotel charged me for the day I missed. It was easy to file the claim but I do not have the approval or reimbursement from the insurance as yet.

When using international assistance to ask a question I was on hold over 40(forty) minutes, only to be disconnected!

Our flight home was delayed, causing us to have to spend the night near DCA. (We’d reserved a rental car for the drive home, but the after-midnight arrival meant that the rental company was closed.) Generali Global was extremely helpful in walking me through the claim process and reimbursed us for the taxi and hotel in less than 48 hours. This experience definitely showed us the value of purchasing trip insurance.

A little hard to navigate their claims portal at first. But once I got through the process, everything else was smooth and claims processing was fast.
Once we knew what information was needed the process was easily navigated. Will continue to use Generalli for future trips.
It was easy enough to file my claim and it was processed quickly. I expected it to be more complicated.
