But 1 thing that could be improved in today's technology time:
they asked for my phone number in case our conversation was interrupted to call me back.
I asked if they could use WhatsApp to call me since I'm using my USA phone and every direct phone call will cost additional money while WhatsApp conversation will cost nothing! This app today is available not only on smartphones but on regular computers as well.
To my surprise, the answer was "no".
I don't understand why such a modern and advanced company still solely relies on phone service only.

Excellent service and claim was completed quickly and efficiently. I got sick and was unable to travel. It’s two weeks later, I am still sick and have not rescheduled my trip, but I will definitely purchase Generali travel insurance through Squaremouth when I do travel again.

They told me they sent a check two times, once in November and once in December. I still haven't gotten the check in January. I called them, and the service rep did not call me back for 2 days.
I was disappointed that more of my expenses were not covered. When I bought the policy, I didn't realize that we were limited to $150 per day.
We had a medical incident that occurred on our trip to the Galapagos while we were on a boat at sea. We were able to reach an agent who connected us with a MD in Quito Ecuador. The number was unreachable after business hours and would not have helped because we were hours by airplane away. We learned, however, we could use a local doctor in the Galapagos, Islands, and fortunately, the medical issue resolved itself.
