Trying to talk to an agent after filing a claim has been a terrible experience. Their phone tree is unhelpful, has no option to talk to a human, and I wasted an hour with their online chat bot and live agent. They ask the same questions you've already answered and then don't actually connect you to someone when they say they're connecting you, and then I did get a real person after about 45 minutes and he said he was reviewing my claim and then would respond and then it hung up on me. Horrible system.

Impossible to use the web site. Many areas seem to be blocked.
I have spent hours, literally, going over and over.
My injury , although relatively minor is so painful (sprained hip) and debilitating that I am waiting to continue the claim.

Do to my wife's sudden non-covid illness we had to cancel our Panama Canal cruise at the last minute. Although we received a small refund from the cruise company for various charges we had to file a claim with Generali for substantially all of the cost of the trip. Although it's a little cumbersome to gather all of the information and forms they requested, I understand why they requested everything and once everything was filed they authorized our claim in just a few days. Overall I'm very happy with the experience and will use them again.
