First claim for baggage delay Generali was awesome! It was resolved in a matter of days, and I was very satisfied.
The second claim for delayed travel due to a missed flight, Generali was totally unresponsive even after 30 days, telling me I’d just have to be patient. I opened a complaint with SquareMouth Zero Complaints team and they were on it! They got it resolved with 24 hours - thanks so much. Love SquareMouth!
I thought that my initial call to the Generali was rather cold and unwelcoming. The information verbally provided to me on the phone simply resulted in sending me the forms to be filled out. Since my wife's mother died on the date of our cruise departure I still to provide multiple documents to support my claim which I am in the process of doing including a death certificate.
Hopefully, once the documents are submitted my claim will be paid.

The customer service number is really only for problems while traveling. Post travel claims are web only to file. Poor support and FAQs on the website. Forced to provide all sorts of information and documentation for irrelevant issues. Site states it can take 30 days or more to resolve a claim. Now I have to wait. Not impressed!

I purchased a policy through Generali Global Assistance as I wanted the "cancel for any reason" coverage & was put off by the price through the tour company. I didn't expect to use it but who does? I called to verify what I had read & was pleased to get through to a person immediately. The price was good & the coverage what I had hoped for. I am not filing a claim but I felt more comfortable on this trip (& perhaps the weeks leading up to it) knowing that I had this coverage. Recommended.

Could not find my copy of the policy. Called Generali Customer Service before we departed. They returned my call and emailed me a copy of my policy promptly.

When my wife fell in Lucerne, Switzerland and injured her left knee and head, I tried to call Generali on the emergency number they provided me. I had a TERRIBLE time trying to get through to anything other than a recorded voice. When I finally reached a live agent I was placed on hold, multiple times, for 15 minutes at a time.
