Before Trip
It was good to know I was covered for most all possible eventualities. Glad I didn't have to use that cover but it does give peace of mind to know I have protection in case.
During Trip
Did not need them :)

Claim Process
We will not be making a claim. We had a great trip and we are glad that we got the insurance and happier that we did not need it.
Before Trip
really no comment on customer service...all done on line. I picked a plan, and you emailed the details.
During Trip
Never needed to contact customer service or the emergency hotline during my trip
Before Trip
Insurance carrier didn't do much. Squaremouth service was excellent.
During Trip
Not much action with insurance carrier during the trip. What action took place was routine.
Claim Process
False advertising. They said (confirmed with Squaremouth) that "trip interruption' meant ALL charges will be paid for consequential additional expense that may be incurred as a result of the trip being interrupted or disrupted. This was NOT done. After much arguing and giving evasive and confusing answers, they re-imbursed part of the expenses. I will make sure I will avoid that company next time.
Claim Process
My trip was changed due to a medical condition with the person I was suppose to travel with (Shantel Leininger). She submitted medical documentation from her physician why she could travel. She receive notice from CSA in March that the claim was denied. I'm wondering why both with travel insurance.
Claim Process
I don't remember the date of settlement, but the experience
was positive
Before Trip
In July of 2011 my flight from PVD to DCA was delayed, meaning that I would miss my connection to TKY and on to Bhutan. United found me a flight departing from BOS at 6AM the next morning, however transportation to the airport can be a problem at that of the day. I rented a car here in RI and dropped it off at Logan at 4AM. I filed a claim with CSA and they reimbursed me promptly and in full. In 2008, I also filed a claim with CSA when my camera was stolen in Nicaragua. Again, I was reimbursed promptly and in full. I would use CSA again and recommend the company to others.
During Trip
I didn't use the emergency help line, but I did make sure that my flight delay and rescheduling was documented. I also provided CSA with my original flight itinerary and the auto rental receipt. When I filed a claim for my camera in 2008, I provided a police report as well as the original receipt for the camera purchase. Documentation is important when filing an insurance claim with any company.
Claim Process
I don't remember the exact dates of my claim. I returned home from my vacation at the end of August and filed the claim about a month later. It took about a month for CSA to reimburse me.
Before Trip
The carrier found an error in my computation of the loss that actually was greater than what I had claimed and the carrier paid on the larger amount. That indicates an honest company to me. I was impressed.
