IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
It seemed they were doing everything possible to deny claim. Documentation was requested multiple times for the same thing. After calling daily for 5 days I got a rep who took an interest in my claim and got it handled. The adjusters are not available to speak to. Dealing with an intermediary is impossible. Every time you answer a request they wait 10 to 15 business days to ask for the same thing in a different manner. Very disappointing. Will not use IMG again. Have a friend who has been dealing with them unsuccessfully for 3 months.
The claim process took longer than the expectations set by the initial claim received e-mail, but everything worked out in the end. I called about the delay and was told to be patient.
Did not have reason to use the coverage but the peace of mind was well worth the price paid.
I am submitting a claim with all the documents by mail to Claims@imglobal.com on June 13th under the Travel Delay and Trip Interrupted provisions of my travel insurance policy due to the severe, nationwide roadblocks and political unrest in Bolivia in June 2025, untill June 18th without any reactions or feedback from IMG. I wonder if they received my claim document or not, I tried to call them by phone but not work. then I tried to leave messages to them at IMG WebSite and IMG gave me a Reference Number mentioned that they will respond to my message as soon as possible
. I wanted to know who is my representative and how long this process will be taken ? which IMG mail could be used to contact them.?
I wrote to IMG@imglobal.com the mail was returned said" your message couldn't be delivered to the recipient because you don't have permission to send to it. Ask the recipient's email admin to add you the to accept list for the recipient. why it is so complicated ? I just want to get some information that's all.
Thanks " Squaremouth" give me the chance to review my experience with IMG

I have not gone on my trip. It has been rescheduled for June 2026 and I have updated the dates on my account to reflect this. please confirm
I purchased my Travel Insurance in January for a cruise the end of May. In March I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with metastasis to the brain. I had to cancel my trip upon learning of my illness. At the time of cancellation, I was still awaiting my treatment plan. I have submitted all the information including medical forms filled out by my doctor. We are now mid-June and I have not received reimbursement for the non refundable portion of my trip.
I am fighting for my life and still dealing with my trip cancellation.
This is not a good experience!
The customer representative was very helpful.
The service is very professional and the selection of covers is great.
I find your website extremely valuable and time-saving and have purchased insurance through you company three different times. I appreciate that during one of my previous purchases, while waiting to see if my lost suitcase had been recovered, you reached out to me to be sure that the insurance company was doing its job to my satisfaction.
I recommend your website to others.
It's been two months since I filled the initial claim. I've called weekly for the past 3 weeks requesting status. Still no meaningful update on the status of my claim. Additionally, the documentation requested seems excessive for a pretty straightforward $1,300 medical claim. I get the sense they are burying claim applicants with "send more documentation" to delay or avoid paying claims. The last call on 8/4, I was put on hold so the agent could "go upstairs to check on my status". After about 5 minutes on hold, she came back to say that all the required documentation seemed to have been received. When I asked about ETA, she suggested it could be another 20 days. I got the sense I was just put on hold to give me an impression that she was looking into my claim status versus actually doing so. I was hoping for something more specific like the name of the agent reviewing the claim, where I stood in the que, and what if anything they still needed to process the claim. The week before, the agent I spoke with sent an email to the "claims review department", copying me, suggesting I should be emailed status within 24 hours. I never received an email with a status update.
