Concerned that I got this now. Trip and insurance changed to June
I’ve provided multiple documents (about 10) of credit card statements and other travel documents and still do not have a resolution. The flight was cancelled by the airline and we had to book again for 2 days later at an increased price and missed 2 days of our trip.
Purchasing the policy was easy and simple. I have no response yet as to how filing the claim or the procedure to finalize that claim.
I cancelled my Princess Cruise for which I purchased references policy on December 19, 2024 due to medical problems resulting from a cyst growing between my L4 and 5 vertebrae. Severe sciatica began on June 17, 2024 due to cyst impinging on sciatica nerve. Cyst was diagnosed in July, removed August 26 followed be months if PT. I filed a paper claim with you on March 17 (sent through registered mail). I have received notification that you received the claim. But have heard nothing more.
Fortunately, we didn’t have to utilize the insurance for anything, but it did give us peace of mind while traveling.
Our trip was interrupted due to my husband hospitalization at Madeira. I have received some great replies from IMG and some really bad as an agent hanged my call without giving me any help.
Waiting for the outcome of my claim since I paid for the hospital bill, hotels, meals, etc. IMG paid for return flights and transportation to home but with limited communication. I had to be on top of them, no replying to my emails.
Waiting for the outcome of this unfortunate event.
The trip was canceled. I filed a claim over a month ago. Haven't heard anything. I've made several calls and keep getting the run around.
So....
I had missed our departure date by a day when I purchased the insurance. I called a few weeks before our departure and the customer service representative was friendly and made it very easy to make the change. I was impressed with my interaction with customer service. Not many companies have such good customer service.
I returned on May 3 and submitted the medical receipts to our Medicare Advantage provider. When I find out what, if anything, they will pay i will file my claim for trip interruption, medical expenses, flight costs for both leaving the cruise and one of us returning, food, hotel, remaining medical expenses and reimbursement for the part of the 4 month cruise we both missed and my return to the ship costs. 2st time in 2 years of travel we have had to file a claim. Thank you for your service.
I had a stroke prior to my vacation. So I filed the claim and submitted all the documents including doctor statement required by IMG. After two or three weeks, IMG came back and asking for another doctor statement to state that I am fit to travel prior to my stroke. I don't have primary doctor and don't really know who to ask for this kind of statement. So I called IMG and they insist that I have to have doctor to state that I am fit to travel and stated that is must before the claim can move on. I asked them why, and they answer was I must knew something before hand. So I purchased the travel insurance. I told them this was emergency condition and that's no way for me to know that would happen to me. Then I asked them was there any prerequisite on their website that require this prior to purchase the travel insurance. They can not answer that, but keep insist that is required.
I think this is a scam company just does not want to pay the claim and come up with any execute. Never buy from them again.
