Tin-leg did not refund Airline cost of trip. After 3 calls to claims office I found out they needed documentation saying that no refund was issued from USAir. They sent me no explanation of benefits. Very disappointed for a high rated company on your website. I purchased the best policy too.
The timeliness in resolving my claim was very impressive. I had two phone conversations with staff members and found them very cooperative, friendly, and competent. Frankly, I was concerned about how my claim would be handled and processed. I have heard stories from friends and acquaintances that they had real problems with claims on travel insurance.

lufthansa my travel agent and Viking are all unable to provide you with proof of the delay and reason for the delay. They say lufthansa on the internet is my only choice. I have asked them 3 times since November 30 to provide this information.consequently my valid claim is unredeemable todate...
Unfortunately the taxi expense we incurred was because of a delay of slightly less than the 6 hour minimum required by the policy for compensation so Tin Leg would not pay the claim. Fortunately the cruise line paid our claim after it was denied by TinLeg. We incurred the taxi fare since the flight cancellation and rebooking caused us to miss our transfer to the hotel. The 6 hour restriction is too limiting and should be reconsidered
This is my second cruise using a Tin Leg policy. It's a great place to buy a travel policy!! I have already purchased a third policy for a booked cruise in October, 2015.
I have had no need to file a claim (THANKFULLY!), so I have no way to review that process but trust it will work as well as the purchase process!
