My became ill with pneumonia during our trip in France. I retained all receipts and documentation and Tin Leg reimbursed us for the amount requested. It took a little back and forth but but we are satisfied with the the result.
My dissatisfaction mostly stems from Tin Leg’s refusal to reimburse us for any toiletries when our suitcases were delayed for four days. In the policy overview that we received upon purchasing coverage, Tin Leg states that in case of baggage delay ‘ "We will pay You for the expense of replacing necessary personal effects’ ; however, when I filed our claim, tin leg refused it saying that
‘ on page 14 of 28 in your PDF policy certificate….The following exclusions apply to Baggage Delay and Baggage/Personal Effects Only:

Perhaps this is standard understanding in insurance terms- that is, that ‘necessary personal effects’ would not include toiletries. However as someone who was without luggage for four days in an Italian heatwave, o would beg to differ. A good lesson for me to read the fine print, but also to avoid Tin Leg in the future.
Oh also, their customer service is outrageously, laughably AI.
