Our customer experience during the claim process has been about as bad as one could imagine. The focus is certainly not on the customer, as the agent waits several days to communicate with us on the status of numerous items we submit based on his requests. Then, he routinely asks for the same items a few days later. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the agent is trying to throw some roadblocks at me to try to get me to back off my claim. Or, maybe he's just really incompetent. Either way, it wastes a lot of my personal time tracking down documentation and resubmitting it every few days, while the claim remains stuck.
This has been an absolute nightmare, and I would rate Tin Leg customer service a 1 out of 10 based on this experience. Definitely never using Tin Leg again.
Happily we did not have to make a claim, and since that is when it really counts, I can't really judge the insurance plan. But I had to call to make some changes in my plan before we left and the representatives were easy to reach and very responsive.
I withdrew the claim
Like all insurance policies, you hope you never use it because your plans go smoothly. They did. No need to call the insurance company. No claim filed, but I had the peace of mind of knowing that I was covered in the event of an unexpected circumstance. Thanks Tin Leg. Your customer support prior to the trip was informative and helpful.
All customer service reps were available and very helpful. Really enjoyed working with this company and will use Tin Leg for future travel.

I provided all the information requested. They sent an email stating I did not and closed my case.
I think the coverage for missed flights is not helpful. I missed my flight but was not eligible because a 6 hour delay is required to constitute a missed flight. I will reconsider getting insurance for flights since my credit card offers trip delay / interruption coverage.
I needed to update the dollar coverage on the policy once we finalized our airfare, and the representative we worked with was excellent! Very pleased with your customer service. The information on what was covered by various policies was clear and relatively easy to find.
