Tin Leg customers praise the provider’s customer service, especially when making changes to their coverage or trip details. However, some have expressed frustration with the claims process, particularly regarding the amount of documentation required.
I have a claim for late arrival of baggage at the beginning of our vacation and will be filing a claim for late arrival of our baggage at the end of our vacation.
However, I am not too please with Tin Leg as it takes almost a month after our trip to speak to their Claims Adjuster.
I had to cancel a pandemic time trip, and u allowed me to save that premium as a credit n use the coverage toward this trip.
It is tough to evaluate an insurance policy until you have to use it. Gratefully, our African Safari went very smoothly and we had no complications which required travel insurance.
I appreciate the peace of mind I enjoyed having been insured for my trip. Thank you. Rosemarie.
No one answered 24 hour assistance phone, plus I had issues connecting to that number in Scotland. Had to resort to email and that was very slow to get any response unless it was core hours in the US.
I’ve used Squaremouth several trips in the past and found them to cover my insurance needs adequately, however, this trip was quite costly for coverage compared to the past. I needed amateur athlete coverage for myself. Maybe it was my age or my husbands age that caused the increase. Thankfully our trip went smoothly and we did not need to use the coverage
We have just begun the process of recuperating our money as we had to cancel the trip due to Rebecca and Scott being involved in a bicycle accident on August 2, 2023. Rebecca had a concussion, stitches and broke 4 bones in her face and was advised not to travel. Scott was needed to stay home with Rebecca to take care of her during her convalescence.
Excellent. Prompt. Courteous.
I almost had to make a claim due to illness. I phoned Tinleg and spoke with a very helpful person who was familiar with the policy, was in the U.S. and spoke good English and was ready to help. Very good customer service!
It would be better that you have informational teams on call 24/7 vs. Just weekdays 8-4

Very disappointed in reimbursement and explanation process. My husband contracted COVID and was too sick to travel home the day we were dropped at airport by cruise. Plus he was still positive and we spent 2 nights in hotel. TL indicated they would not cover the hotel. I got us the quickest flights home and at no additional charge but yet no coverage for hotel. Make sure you read the fine print.
