Tin Leg customers praise the provider’s customer service, especially when making changes to their coverage or trip details. However, some have expressed frustration with the claims process, particularly regarding the amount of documentation required.
I had to call customer service to fix a problem that was my fault. They straightened it out in a quick and courteous manner.
Too bad i couldn't find a hotel room when flight delayed
for approximately 13 hours. Not a good night in airport. I should have asked you if you have a service to help.locate hotel rooms.
I contacted TinLeg to file a claim because my flight was canceled. As a result of the cancelation, I was stranded at the airport in another country and I missed my connecting flight. The airline did not offer food or hotel vouchers. I did not have additional funds to pay for a hotel because they were extremely expensive so I slept at the airport. Tinleg said they were unable to do anything for me without receipts. My mental anguish and suffering is not enough for a claim. I will not be purchasing travel insurance ever again.
Our biggest frustration was after submission of a claim, we were told we needed to complete an interview, however the earliest available time slot to complete this process was 4 weeks later. We are still waiting to complete this step.
I have been very pleased with service up to this point. My claim has not been finalized yet.
Squaremouth made it easy to compare policies to find the one that worked with my budget and needs.
We filed a claim for both missed connection and delayed baggage. Our missed connection claim was paid but our delayed baggage was denied. We appealed and it was denied again. We are now going through the Zero Complaint process which is in-process. We are extremely frustrated by our experience with Tin Leg on this claim. They are refusing to pay around $117 on a legitimate delayed baggage claim when all documentation required per the Tin Leg Policy was supplied. We certainly hope the Zero Complaint process really works.
I have purchased insurance through Tin Leg many times. Always great service
Excellent coverages at a very good price.
The level of documentation required is absurd. They continue to request additional documentation that is totally irrelevant to my claim. It was a simple flight delay at the beginning of our trip because our airline cancelled the flight and we had to take a later flight. We incurred some expenses associated with the flight delay. I will NEVER use this company again.

I found the entire process very tedious and frustrating. The level of documentation required was absurd. The company required information that was not relevant to my claim. The claim was simple and should have been processed quickly: our flight was delayed for mechanical reasons so we incurred some additional expenses. The process seems designed to induce frustration and force the consumer to relinquish their claim rather than complete the process. The process was unnecessarily long.
