Great staff!
You need more knowledgeable people working your phone line for those calling from their trip. When I became ill, I called and was trying to get information on what kind of testing was needed for proof of COVID and the person was unsure.
I filed my claim around Oct. 11 or 12, right after I returned. I keep getting emails saying the receipts don't match the list of expenses, etc., when they do, that I need to list the expenses, which I did on the form. I have emailed back several times asking for clarification on what else is needed with no communication. I called a couple of days ago to try to get this resolved -- to Robinassist -- and the person I talked to said she was going to ask my claims person to call me but I have not received a call. This is not acceptable. I don't like being handed off again and again Squaremouth to TinLeg to Battleface to Robinassist. This lack of communication is beginning to make this feel like a scam.

The staff was accommodating
I am waiting to find out how they manage my claim
to date, my experience with Tin Leg has been good, they are prompt in their response and appear to be handling my claim appropriately. Update later after my claim process is complete.
Very easy claims process. Was informed every step of the process as well. Very professional handling of the claim.
We filed a claim for hotel expenses due to delayed flight/missed connection. The claim was quickly resolved once all information required was sent to Tin Leg. Please note that you will need documentation of everything involved to make claim. DO NOT delete any correspondence with airlines etc until your trip is complete. Also, a phone call to the 24hr assistance would be advised as soon as there is a problem in order to know what documentation you will be needing.
The travel insurance policy was easy to set up and seemed comprehensive. I had debated for months whether to purchase the policy but in the end, there was a lot of peace of mind with the policy in-hand. The claim process and customer service appear excellent (so far …still awaiting settlement of a claim)
My trip was canceled 3 days after the beginning of the trip due to a "conflict in the region". I contacted Tin Leg and was given an interview date for almost 3 weeks after the evacuation from the region. That seems quite a long time to make my case, file my claim. More immediate action seems necessary.
Hi Liza
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we apologize for the delay in scheduling your claim interview. We have taken significant steps to grow our claims team in effort to improve the experience for our insureds, and we are continuing to do so.
I have spoken with our claims team and understand you have completed your claim interview. Our team is working through your documentation in order to make a determination on your claim.
Thank you for your patience. We apologize again for the frustration you have experienced.
My husband was unable to take the trip. His doctor did not want him out of the country while changing his medication in case of a reaction. I submitted the doctor's note, all receipts, proof of cancellation, and completed a 25 minute interview. Tin Leg now wants another claim form from me, which is done, and a full medical history including almost three months before booking the trip on May 22nd 2003. The doctor's office is still working on that; however, I think it is ridiculous that someone at Tin Leg is going to review six months of medical records to second guess his doctor. He has two other doctors who can attest to his changing medical condition, and obviously people don't book trips to cancel them just because they feel like it - there's nothing to gain. I think Tin Leg's request is daunting and absurd.
