Tin Leg customers praise the provider’s customer service, especially when making changes to their coverage or trip details. However, some have expressed frustration with the claims process, particularly regarding the amount of documentation required.
The upload of PDF process didn't work. Initially it won't allow file size over 5MB (what a joke in year 2022). I have to shrink the file size to 2.2MB, but still it fails constantly. I further reduce the file to 1.9MB, and finally it was uploaded.
The claim site is outsources and added less confidence for future purchasing.
I hope you get enough peoiple up to your normal standards to answer the phones and not make us wait 6-8 hours for a call back. Your typical IN HOUSE rep is fabulous but it is frusterating when you have a problem to solve.

Had a trip interruption that resulted in us being stranded in a foreign country. Luckily our airline provided accommodations and we were resourceful enough to get ourselves to our destination and not depend on our travel insurance policy as we were bounced from person to person when contracting Tin Leg during this trip interruption. Of which none provided us with any real assistance. Our first sign that the service was not professional or helpful. We figured we would file our claim post trip and get the trip interruption compensation that was covered under our policy. Whef, what an experience filing a claim. Again bounced from one contact to another then absolutely no response from our claim person. Despite weeks of phone calls that always went to voicemails that were never responded to. Frustrating isn't even the word to describe this experience. After almost two months post trip we finally got in contact with someone who at least seemed to be progressing our claim and luckily we finally received our claim. So unprofessional. Like I said so glad we didn't have to rely on this company when we were stranded, luckily we are resourceful and made our own way through. I feel for anyone that would be in the situation where they relied entirely on this company. Will be looking at different insurance providers for our upcoming international trips.
Squaremouth is very easy to use to make comparisons. We recommend it to friends. TinLeg has been good to work with in the past and so far has been responsive in our current claim as they do due diligence. Time will tell, but so far so good.
