We had to cancel our trip prior to our departure due to a medical emergency. Tin Leg walked us through the cancellation process and required documentation. Our claim has been completed and we did receive a full refund for our missed trip.

The people I worked with at Tin Leg were all very nice and courteous on the phone which helped make this a good experience. Communication via email was timely and clear. The claim process itself was a bit tedious, requiring statements and records from each of the doctors that saw me. This can be particularly difficult in the case of the urgent care doctor that didn't have regular hours at the clinic. It seems to me that having a statement and records from the doctor that restricted me from traveling would be enough. In the end I was able to get statements from each doctor directly to Tin Leg which resulted in my claim being approved. Tin Leg even paid more than I requested as they covered a credit card fee that I didn't expect them to cover. My warning would be that you must keep records of every transaction if you need to file a claim. I'm sure this is the same with any insurance company so I wouldn't hold this against Tin Leg.
