The process of getting coverage was quick and easy. Your documentation was complete and arrived promptly. My luggage was lost on the way home after 10 days of travel and I did not receive it for over 70 hours- and in fact I was gone for another 6 days before I would see it again; having to make arrangements to have my luggage safeguarded when dropped off at my vacant home due to having an immediate business trip. Since I was gone for an extended period, all my undergarments, socks and key clothes were gone. I had just over 30 hours at home before leaving on a business trip- not having any idea if my luggage would be returned in time or at all. It was found, but returned after three and a half days. It was disturbing to me that when I called Tin Leg they stated lost/delayed baggage on the return trip is not covered. I was shocked and disappointed in that when my trip is not fully complete in accordance with a reasonably prudent expectation, that my luggage delay insurance somehow disappears. The $200 I expected to receive is not a possibility according to who I spoke to at Tin Leg and when I read their terms the statement is correct. Not a good experience for me though. I thought that is why I bought insurance and will now look for a policy that covers all my travel events in full in the future. Thank you.
I got food poisoning and had the return home early. The claims process was easy and hassle free.
Our family trip to Africa consisted of three families from two states. Because of this we had to purchase two policies due to State regulation. We also added airfare later and made some changes that resulted in price changes to our trip. Each time we contacted Tin Leg, the experienced operators were there to guide us through the process. They made purchasing a policy simple. Luckily the trip went as planned so we didn't have to make a claim.
