I bought and insurance for my husband and I for a 2 weeks trip to China. The copy I got had $150 per flight delay more than 6 hours. It happens for us so I filed the claim. Got an email that I need to do a call with specialist. I did the call , the guy just asked me what happened and told me to find all receipts and itinerary and send them a copy. He told me he ll full the application and I need to sign. I got the application profiled stating $150 so I emailed the guy that it was 2 of us so it would be $300. Then after few days I get an email from the guy that your claim was approved and we sent you the check. I get the check and it is $12!!!!!!!!! Are u kidding me? I email the guy and then he says ooo I thought I told you it was up to $150 per person. What does it mean? We had over 6 hours delay soooooo??? . No he didn’t tell me anything and wasted my time. This company is more than a joke.

I apologize for the confusion. The Travel Delay benefit is designed to cover you for the expenses incurred during a delay that exceeds 6 hours, such as meals and accommodations. This benefit can reimburse up to $150 per person for these expenses, however it does not provide a lump sum payment due to a delay.

Great experience, we had to cancel our trip to China due to a life threatening illness in the family. We recovered as much of the advance payments as we could and the Squaremouth insurance paid the remaining balance. Processing was extremely quick with no hassle from the insurance company. Will use again.
My experience with Tin Leg, so far, has been excellent. We are in the process of filing a claim because our flight was cancelled and we incurred lost costs in London because of it. It is a small claim, just $203. Tin Leg has been very easy to work with, and we have a scheduled interview in a few days to go over the issues.

I am extremely satisfied with the claim process with Tin Leg. Once I submitted all the supporting documentation a check was received about a week or so later. This was a much better process than any other trip insurance we previously had. We will continue to use Tin Leg when we travel.

Phone call interview was somewhat unnecessary- claim was pretty straightforward. But I was very happy with the overall process.
