    United Airlines cancelled our flight scheduled for 8/4/18. We immediately called Tin Leg and they were very helpful right from the beginning. United Airlines did refund the purchase price for our tickets but Tin Leg kept in touch throughout the process. We will definitely be utilizing your travel insurance again in the future!

    I purchased trip coverage in February, 2018 from Tin Leg for the out-of-pocket land costs. Had unanticipated surgery twelve days before the trip departure (7/16/18). I initiated a pre-claim process including an interview (6/25/18) during the time when I wasn't sure whether I would be able to travel or not. The surgeon recommended that I not travel, especially to rural areas where there would be limited medical facilities.When the final decision was made that I should not travel (7/20/18), I advised Tin Leg to officially open a claim (7/20/18). I had already been sent the necessary personal and medical claim forms, and provided all necessary documentation from my surgeon and the tour company. I received an email (8/7/18) that my claim has been approved for the full amount of the coverage purchased. It is now about a week beyond that email, and in the mail today (8/14/18) I received two checks for the total amount of the coverage purchased. So, needless to say, I have nothing to complain about. I believe that the timetable from the filing of the official claim to receipt of the checks was within industry standards. Hopefully the funds will be used sometime in the future for another trip. I will again purchase a Tin Leg policy for our next overseas vacation. Thank you for promises kept.

    Simple and easy procedure to submit a claim. I will always use Squaremouth and Tin Leg!

    Hard to believe hard you are trying to get out of paying for supplies to finalize my treatment. You didn’t have to pay fir any doctors seen in Italy or the Urgent Care or my doctor back here in the states!
    Not worth the money spent!

    I understand you filed a claim for the medical expenses you incurred for supplies to treat your injury, as well as for the costs of a hotel the night you returned home. I have checked the status of your claim, and we have already issued a check for $43.88 to cover the medical supplies.

    Unfortunately, the cost of the hotel is not covered, as you had the choice to drive home after your flight landed and voluntarily chose to book a hotel instead. If you were unable to return home, this could have been a covered expense under your policy.

    The customer service representative was very knowledgeable and helpful . It was super easy to buy the insurance on line and many to choose from, depending on what you were looking for. I will definitely use this company again when I am traveling overseas.

    I had to cancel my trip due to medical reasons and filed a claim. The initial contact was prompt and the followup phone call was on time. It was very clear as to what documentation was needed. I submitted it, the claim approved and received a refund in a little over a week. I feel this was outstanding service. I've had to deal with other insurance companies which was clear frustration. Thanks for the outstanding service.
