Customer Service was very helpful with question I had when applying for coverage
The area we rented in was under an mandatory evacuation during Hurricane Erin so we were not able to check into our rental. We submitted a claim and had approval for a full refund within a week and now expect payment within days. We would highly recommend Tin Leg travel insurance.
On day two of the trip, I think we both came down with COVID: coughing, sore throat, headache. Husband tried to find a doctor but due to language difficulties, he had no luck. We've both had many COVID shots so we were only tired two days. Although we didn't use the insurance, it was nice knowing it was there. I would use them again for an international trip.
I have a legitimate claim and they denied it because I listed my US address instead of my Ecuador address on the application because I can’t receive mail in Ecuador ( they have no postal system). My trip originated in Ecuador, went to the US, which is why I bought travel insurance, then returned to Ecuador. We needed medical insurance while we were in the US, which is why we bought the policy.
Once all the required documents were provided Tin Leg was very prompt in handling my claim. Delays were caused by my primary insurance processing the claim and providing documentation.
My check has been mailed and just awaiting USPS to deliver.
Have used your services for a few years and find dealing with your customer service to set up the insurance to be very easy. Rates are always the lowest, too.
Had to file a claim and the process was smooth. I’ll definitely consider them again for my next trip.
Social Security wont cover me outside the U.S. I drove to Canada and went fishing.
Trip was canceled for medical reasons. Claim required multiple conversations with adjuster to obtain documentation that would satisfy conditions for refund.
The advertisement said-Feel free to call us with any changes. I called before buying because I was uncertain about the other grandmother coming so I wanted to know what info I would need on hand if she decided to come. The rep said there was no changes allowed after purchase.
Make up my mind. That could have been a big problem.
