I really don't have any comments. I purchased the policy online without any problems and will not be filing any claims. I had a few questions which were answered promptly to my satisfaction prior to the purchase. The real test of an insurance policy/company is how they handle problems and process claims. And a successful vacation is not having any problems or claims. Insurance is one of those necessary items that if you never need it, you're lucky; and if you ever need it once, you're darn glad you have it.
Nothing to it, really. Had flight changes due to Harvey. Called them to inform them of change and see if I needed to take any other action on the insurance. They said no even though dates, airports, etc., all changed. Trip was uneventful.
Of all the times I’ve purchased the TinLeg policies, I’ve only made 2 claims. One was a year or so back and the claim was handled very promptly with no issues. The latest was due to Hurricane Havey, and it seems the Tin Leg promise went out the door. No claims updates every 5 days. Radio silence. Finally I received one email that my claim was approved on 9/24, and the check arrived 10/5. (Which they tried to send to a different address than the one on the claim form and I tried to call twice to fix with no answer, finally an email got the claims dept attention) They dropped the ball on this one, but I can’t complain about the insurance itself. The policy coverage was right and the price was good. That’s my honest feedback.
This being the 1st time I purchased travel insurance, I did my homework on potential underwriters. I was quite taken aback with the insurance offered by the cruise line company when I received their quote. The quote was outrageously expensive, so I did my due diligence on the internet and found Squaremouth. After reviewing the options on Squaremouth, I reviewed 3 top underwriters and chose Tin Leg, not only because of their price, but what they offered for coverage. I'm thankful that I did not have to use the insurance, and also happy knowing that if I needed to use the insurance, Tin Leg had my back. My wife and I plan to travel more in the years to come and I will certainly be looking to Squaremouth and Tin Leg for my travel insurance needs.

We had a problem with our baggage post trip so I called Tin Leg to find out about submitting a claim. The person I spoke with was very helpful and told me he would send me email with all the information about submitting a claim and that a claims rep would also send out an email to setup a conference call. I received both emails and my conference call is setup. So far Tin leg has been very easy to work with.

Great experience with Tin Leg staff! Everyone I spoke with was courteous and knowledgeable. I chose this policy (Tin Leg Luxury) because I was able to get more coverage for pre-existing conditions. I had to file a claim and the staff was very helpful and made it very easy to get through the claim process.

I had a very good experience with Tin Leg personnel in handling my claim. The person I worked with was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The amazing part is that the office is in Miami as hurricane Irma had already made landfall and I still received my check in the estimated time.
