    Easy to deal with. Only suggestion: on line claim form should either clearly state that there is no mechanism to attach documentation or have a link to attach documentation

    Good policy at a good price, and it did cover (with minimal frustration) the one doctor trip and prescription we needed while in France. Claims process was straightforward, and the Tin Leg staff were polite and helpful. My only quibble is the second, scheduled, phone call that was needed to complete the claim. I just wish we could have taken care of everything in one call.

    In the past I have had to file with other companies. They paid for the airline tickets even though the airline gave me credit towards another flight. Tin Leg does not do this. They will only pay the amount which is not credited. Furthermore, the travel agency has given us credit towards another trip. Tin Leg will not reimburse this. So, if something happens next year and we can't use the credit we are out over $3000.
    Because of this, I would not recommend Tin Leg to anyone nor would I ever buy from them again.

    When I purchased Tin Leg insurance, I was unaware that they will not refund money if the airline issues credit. Other insurance companies refund flights despite airline credit given. I was originally given credit by the tour company towards another trip. Tin Leg wouldn't issue me the funds for the "credit" towards a future trip. I had to email the tour company and get in writing that they would not issue me funds if I could not take the trip. I did get it in writing but other companies I have used just issued the funds without further correspondence. It is for these reasons I would not use Tin Leg again. I have taken a star off for each of these reasons.

    Our claims department requested a document from your tour operator confirming you did not accept the credit and would like to cancel your trip in full.

    I did not have the need to make a claim, however I did have to contact them to change the date to a day earlier. It was easy to contact them and easy to change the plan. The customer service adviser was kind and efficient. I have used them repeatedly for travel insurance and, knowing how painless it is to get in contact with them, will happily be continuing to use them again.
