WHAT AN AWFUL COMPANY. WHAT A SCAM.
I bought this travel cover because (on line one on page one) it said it covered disruption to my trip.
My trip was disrupted by engine failure, an emergency landing in Iceland, and our arrival home a day layer than expected.
Imagine my astonishment and disgust to find that the legal small print of the cover has in fact been calibrated to deny any claims for 'this kind of disruption'?!?!?
What is the point of travel insurance?
I am beyond angry at this situation. Simply referring to some vague legalese to deny a perfectly rational claim, is reprehensible.
I will continue to highlight this scam on social media and via review opportunities.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. While travel insurance is designed to reimburse specific financial losses or out-of-pocket expenses caused by covered events, it typically doesn’t provide a full trip refund when the travel arrangements were successfully used. We regret that your claim was not resolved as you hoped. For further clarification, please contact your assigned claim adjuster via email.
Had to cancel a trip for health reasons. Could not have been happier with how the insurance with Tin Leg made it easy to file supporting claim documents and how quickly the claim was settled. Will certainly use Tin Leg again for future trips.
Easy to purchase policy for a great price, called once to get clarification on a coverage issue and got a clear response from rep
Tin leg provided a link for me to upload documents supporting my claim. It was then handed off to Robin Assist- third party for evaluation. But none of the documents were ported over. Robin Assist’s website was not working to accept the documents so after speaking with them the said to just email the documents. The process so far has been time consuming and unnecessarily difficult.
I am lucky that I did not need to use the insurance services. I am assuming if I had done so, they should’ve and would’ve completed what they have promised. It was a little bit difficult to set up at first, and I had to make a few calls to Customer Service but they were very nice and helped to figure out the plan that I was getting the cost, etc. actually in the future since I travel frequently to Europe, I would like to have a phone number or an email where I can reach out to them directly and set this up for when I travel abroad.
Really appreciate the service... Thank you
The representatives were helpful and kept me informed about what documents needed to be submitted. I was able to manage this claim through the website and submitted all needed information as directed.
I think the claim process was expedited in a reasonable fashion. However, Tin Leg denied the majority of my claim because I paid it with a "certificate", which they don't allow. I actually paid for the majority of the claim ($1,000) with my United Travel Bank, money that I earned from taking United flights. Had I known that Tin Leg would deny the claim because I used my Travel Bank, I would have paid the entire amount myself. I am not sure how I was supposed to know that I couldn't pay with Travel Bank money, but that is how it turned out. I am not satisfied at all.
The claim process was straightforward. The outcome was fair. My only complaint was having to submit one document twice.
your staff is very helpful and informative.
