Initially on September 4 th we were informed that there was a nationwide train strike scheduled for the 5 th between 9-5 Since we were scheduled to fly back to the US on the 6 th We had to scheduled a flight from Napoli to Rome so we would not miss our connecting flight It turns out the strike did not affect our scheduled train ( but how could we take a chance) Train was delayed ! As of today we have not been compensated What did pay insurance for ?
Travel Insured International has very slow process and take days for response. very inconvenient to submit the paper instead of filling out the claim online and submit.
Due to a medical issue we had to cancel our trip 4 months prior to departure. We filed a small claim for $760, a $500 non-refundable deposit and $260 in airfare in June. Payment was not made until September. During the claim process even though we submitted all documentation requested by Travel Insured International with the initial filing there were multiple requests for additional information often it was for information that had previously been submitted. It got to the point that we felt the insurance company was trying to annoy us so much hoping that we would just go away.
The person who answered the 24 hours line for help when we needed it was Luyi. I cannot say enough good things about how she handled the call and follow up. She asked about my wife and were we okay. Then provided me with good information I needed. Attempted to intervene with various groups to help me keep from spending thousands of dollars. She followed up further via email and follow up phone calls for several days. The claim was opened for me and I am now uploading documents. So far it has been very good

They covered what I expected,but were slower to process and finalize than I expected
It's so awful. We filed a claim months ago. They keep asking for the same paperwork we already submitted. I imagine we'll never get a penny. Total waste of money to buy the insurance. Even worse, we had a false sense of security.
Customer service has been exceptional. The phone rep helped me start my claim on the phone and sent me a follow up email so that I can submit my documents through email instead of on the computer. This is much easier for me. He assured me I have many months to submit my claim and I don't have to worry about travel providers being slow in getting me the paperwork I need.
I'm so glad I'm working with Travel Insured even though I'm sad about having had to cancel my trip.
I chose a Cancel for Any Reason policy and also high primary medical coverage because I know we're getting older and the unexpected can happen. And it did. We needed to cancel 4 days before our cruise due to an unexpected health problem.
They have had my claim 20 days. It shouldn’t take that long to review a straightforward claim.

It took nearly 2 months from initial contact to receiving the check. More than a month on review after receiving the submitted claim.
The company made it extremely difficult to process a claim, asking for document after document, delaying the review, and asking for ridiculous verification. It should have been a very simple and straightforward claim, made tedious by them. We do not recommend!
