was able to change policy to one that included scuba diving up to 130 feet.... the original policy in the fine print excluded scuba as a covered
event ...your specialist found a different policy that covered Scuba Diving.....I was worried once a policy was purchased it couldn't be changed but your specialist told me I had 10 Days to change or cancel....what a relief...any way a great experience as I have purchased atleast 10 policies from you........the fine print or definitions of risky activities can vary widely..... now I realize this and be more careful in the future ...Thanks to your Specialist.........THANK YOU FROM ,,,,Tom Kelly
Claim personnel were polite and courteous. Our claim is being processed and we have not received an approval as of yet.

Zero issues paid promptly.
After jumping through hoops for 5 months and answering the same questions over again and some questions were irrelevant, I FINALLY got back about half of what I lost. I missed a flight in Amsterdam because I left 4 hours late from JFK and got transfers to Nairobi then Kigali instead of going straight to Kigali. I missed the first day of my pre-trip and requested 1/4 of the pre-trip (4 days) price. I won't use them again.
The submission platform was not very intuitive, and some categories were odd/unclear what to select. There was also redundant data entry required. This didn't cause issues with the claim, but it was repetitive and an annoyance.
We had to cancel our trip in advance due to a diagnosis my wife received in December. She needed cervical spine surgery and was advised to not travel due to potential risk of paralysis if she fell or was in any sort of accident or plane turbulence. It took a bit longer for this company to process the claim than I would have liked, but they paid out everything they were obligated to. I would have no problems using them again. In fact I think I've already taken out policies with them for future trips.
I thought the process was easy enough. The insurance was required.
The application was easy and clear. The information received was clear.
The best part everything on my trip went smooth and I did not have to make a claim but it felt good knowing I was covered if I had an unforseen event or accident.
The claims process for this claim was fairly straight forward. I did speak to a representative who sent the necessary paperwork. There is a lot of information to upload, scan, etc. This particular claim was processed in roughly 3 1/2 weeks to be processed, and it was a large claim. Interestingly, I had another claim that I filed (same company) for a different trip, as we had to cancel both trips due to my husband’s lengthy hospitalization. The first claim I filed, for a smaller amount, took two plus weeks longer to process and be paid. Unclear why, but both were paid for the amount due to me.
The only reason I four stars was due to the first claim taking nearly 6 weeks and I had to call several times to make sure it was being processed.
I was surprised how easy it was to reach a real person and they were very helpful. We were on a trip to Egypt and needed to extend the policy dates. They made the process easy.
We had a last minute family emergency and needed to cancel our trip and filed a claim. The agent I spoke with on the phone was very professional and extremely compassionate. Very impressed with customer service.
The Travel Insured Int. concierge service is a joke. We were delayed over 6 hours in Aswan and had no viable information on whether or not our flight would be canceled. If canceled we would have missed our next flight out of Cairo. Egypt Air had several flights with seating availability. The logical thing to do would be to book a different flight and cancel the original on Nesma. Travel Insured was incapable of seeing the big picture. They do not have viable employees. I will never again use Travel Insured.
