Travelex customers often praise the helpful and easily accessible customer service. However, some travelers feel the provider could offer more updates during the claims process, and that reimbursements can take longer than expected.
I was most pleasantly surprised with my Travelex experience. I buy travel insurance easily half a dozen times a year, and have done so for a number of years, but have never had to file a claim before this trip. During a trip to Thailand, I became very ill with Dengue Fever, and incurred bills for emergency room care, testing, medication, and follow-up treatment. The medical bills were not substantial, but I anticipated a lot of onerous paperwork to recoup these funds. In fact, I wondered if it was even worth filing a claim, as I expected to be buried in paperwork and have to have to fight for compensation. The claim process and reimbursement for the medical expenses, however, COULD NOT HAVE BEEN EASIER. I spent about ten minutes in total answering some questions online, and then uploading photos of the medical bills, the Thai doctor's certificates, and my Mastercard statement (in which I'd highlighted the medical charges to show that I had, in fact, paid them). A week or so later, I received an email that the claim had been approved, and that they'd already issued a check. (I'd selected the check option, as opposed to a bank transfer; a transfer would probably have been faster, but I was in no hurry.) I'll add that when I first realized I needed hospital treatment, I called the Travelex number just to assure that I was doing everything that I needed to do from an insurance perspective. The guy I spoke with at Travelex couldn't have been more helpful. He told me to just go to the hospital, and that if the hospital required a large deposit for admission, to have them call Travelex and they could arrange that. (Thankfully, I was not admitted overnight, but it was nice to know that this option existed, and that I wouldn't have to worry about running up massive inpatient charges while overseas.)

I spoke to a claims adjuster before I filed the claim and he asked how I bought the insurance. When I told him through Squaremouth I can tell by his reaction that the claim would process and I would receive reimbursement. I am so glad I bought through Squaremouth to assure complete and easy processing. Thank you!
Top rate. I insured against the event of an elderly relative getting sick during the trip, but ended up collecting for a medical issue while overseas. Claim as easy to file and promptly paid in full.

Our plane was delayed, which led to a missed connection which led to a missed 3 day tour. Although Squaremouth did not pay for the loss of money for the prepaid tour, they did cover the expenses from the additional nights at the hotel and transportation which was great.

easy to obtain
We needed to adjust our travel dates soon after purchasing. The process was quick and easy!
Our trip was schedules for 6/28/19. One family member had to cancel 6 weeks before the trip due to illness of their child. Customer service sent me the claim forms and we are in the process of gathering the necessary documents to submit the claim.
I will reserve judgement on the quality of service after the claim is settled.
