So far my experience has been excellent. I chose this option because of the mix of price and coverage that we needed for the family. Overall great experience, wish we received a little more back as we are still out a good chunk of money sadly. However, the poccess was very easy and we do appreciate what we were able to get back because it could have been a much larger loss. Customer service was great and there were many options available for uploading the documents needed for the claim.

We would like to take a moment to explain the Trip Interruption benefits for the Travel Select plan you purchased. If you are delayed or unable to continue your covered trip for one of the Trip Interruption covered reasons, the plan will reimburse you for the insured, unused, pre-paid, and non-refundable travel arrangements. The reimbursement could also include the additional transportation expenses incurred to reach the original trip destination or back home, after the Departure Date. The following Trip Interruption Benefits are located in the Travel Select Policy that was emailed to you at the time of purchase.
Trip Interruption Benefits: The Company will reimburse You up to the Maximum Limit shown in the Schedule for Trips that are interrupted due to the Unforeseen events shown above for:
- Unused portion of non-refundable pre-paid insured Trip Cost; and
- additional transportation expenses incurred by You, either to the Return Destination; or from the place that You left the Trip to the place that You may rejoin the Trip; or
- additional transportation expenses incurred by You to reach the original Trip Destination if the Insured is delayed and leaves after the Departure Date.
However, the benefit payable under (b) and (c) above will not exceed the cost of economy airfare or the same class as the Insured’s original ticket, less any refunds paid or payable, by the most direct route.
It is important to remember that insurance is highly regulated, and the Claim Administrator’s decision is based on the terms and conditions of the Policy and the available information. If you have additional documentation that the Claim Administrator did not already reimburse you for, please feel free to submit the additional documentation and they will gladly re-evaluate your claim.

I wanted help and got the biggest run around. The customer service is horrible. Some of the people were okay but some were rude (not only to me but to the providers). VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

We have undergone a thorough review of your case with our Assistance Company, On Call International (On Call), they have acknowledged that a breakdown in communication did occur. On Call understands the importance of timely communication and additional coaching & training has occurred with the Assistance Coordinator involved.

Polite, but not terribly helpful.
Not very helpful customer service. Spoken to them a couple of times. In the process of filing a claim. Very disappointed to learn that it can take up to 4 weeks to process my trip delay claim. Looking up my policy now to try and interpret my coverage

My phone was lost or stolen while I was on my trip. I just had to submit a police report and the file the claim and I had a check in the mail really quickly. Very easy to do! Already bought the same travel insurance for my next trip! It was really worth it!
