Due to terrorist activity in the destination city, the trip was cancelled. We contacted the customer service to get a refund since the trip was cancelled for safety reasons, but the request was denied because it was after the free cancellation period. We were not looking for trip refund. We gladly paid the cancellation fees to the airline, travel agent, etc. We were also not looking for a full refund, just a partial. Customer service for this company showed they really didn't care about anything as long as the company got to keep the money.
Basically the company took our money knowing there would not be any chance of services needed. It is for that reason we will NEVER do business with this company again and advise others that this company is all about collecting money without providing any protection or services.
We chose this company based on reviews of exceptional customer service, but those must have been company paid reviews because the quality service was non-existent. Our reviews on social media will reflect this event and will advise others to look elsewhere as we will do the next trip we take.

Although Travelex had credit us fully for the medical claim, the customer process was not the most friendly. We had submitted our claim online and was assigned an agent. We had follow up with the agent after one week to see if Travelex has received all the necessary documentation but we did not receive a reply. When we called the 1-800, we were told the agents can be "too busy to reply since their workload consume most of their time". Other than this minor issue, we did not have any other issues.
I am always skeptical about insurance but I will purchase from squsremouth again.
We filed an interrupted trip claim one week ago. I was told by customer service that our claim was approved and we should be receiving a check this week.
This very rapid response, handling and approval makes me want to insure our future trips with your company.

This is not a review, only information regarding my intended claim. I had a medical emergency during the trip. It required visits to two doctors, one in Astoria OR and one in Portland OR. The doctors advised my wife and me to end the vacation and return home to Escondido CA for further medical treatment. Because of that, our scheduled 10-day cruise ended after 1 1/2 days. I plan to submit a claim for the missed tour days, transportation from Astoria to Portland, transportation in Portland related to the medical incident, lodging and meals in Portland, and the additional cost to reschedule air transportation from Portland to San Diego.
If you wish I will submit another review after the settlement of my claim.

Should you need additional assistance with filing your claim you may call them between 7:30am and 7:00pm CST, Monday – Friday.

My baggage delay claim was paid within reasonable time frame, but I had to submit receipts multiple times, as their online system kept showing that it was awaiting receipts
